Duplicate node helps in dropping the duplicates of the dataset based on the selected keys, sorting order and filter criteria.

Step 1: Once the data has been imported, click on data preparation.

Step 2: Drag and drop the “Duplicates” node onto the main screen. Connect the two nodes (Data Import node and Duplicates node) or three nodes (Two Data Import nodes and Duplicates node).

Step 3: Once this has been done, select the Unique Key or Multiple keys. Based on this, the duplicates are dropped from the dataset.

Step 4: It is to be noted that the default value of the unique key will always be set to “Select All”. You can click on the select button next to unique key to deselect the columns or select specific columns.

Step 5: You can also sort the values by selecting one key from the unique key select option and can select the sorting order from the Partition and Ranking option. If you do not want to sort the values, then you can unselect the Partition and Ranking option.

Step 6: Based on the requirement, you can also select the filter table option and enter the required filter criteria.

Step 7: The duplicates will be dropped based on the filtered data and the selected key.

I need to drop duplicates in a dataset. Can I use the duplicate node to achieve this? How does it work?

Step 1: On the top right corner of the page, click on visualization under properties.

Step 2: Drag and drop the required columns under Dimension and Measure. In the measure column, select the option as “Group” by clicking on the dropdown of the column you want to group. (Refer to the image below).

Step 3: Now, click on the properties icon under visualization. Locate the Table Properties option and click on the Column Grouping toggle.

Step 4: Set a Column Group Default Limit and give it a Column Group Name. (Refer to the image below)

Step 5: Once this has been done, the column to which grouping has been applied will display only 14 values or less.

Step 6: Anything more than the given number will be represented by the Column Group Name and the number of values in the said row. (Refer to the image below).

How does column grouping work in the table? And how do I group a specific column?

You can classify the reports under one category in the report design page.

Step 1: In the report design page, click on the category icon that is present on the tool bar at the top. (Refer to the image below).

Step 2: A Category pop-up appears. You can create a new category or choose from the existing categories. (Refer to the image below).

Step 3: By following the steps mentioned above for each report, you can categorize them in the dashboard under one header/ category.

I need to group the reports I created under one specified group. How do i do this?

I have a few reports and I want them to be visible under one dropdown in the dashboard. I need to create two such groups, how can I do this?

You have the option to hide the filter when there's only a single filter choice available. To accomplish this, follow these steps:

Step 1: Hover over the filter and select the edit icon.

Step 2: Upon clicking the edit icon, a pop-up for the filter configuration will appear.

Step 3: Activate the "Hide Filter when Single" toggle, as shown in the image below for reference.

I have a dashboard designed and have add filters at the top. One of the filters only have one option in them. I want to know if it is possible to hide the filter in such scenarios? The filter should show up when the option increases. How do I achieve this?

RE: How do I execute the SQL query in the workflow. I want the data source to get updated.

Step 1: Click on the transformation tab.

Step 2: Drag and drop the SQL node onto the main screen.

Step 3: Once you drop the node onto the main screen, a save popup appears. Enter the workflow name and click on the save button.

Step 4: Select the data source on the right side of your screen.

Step 5: Once the data source has been selected, click on the query button to execute the query.

Step 6: Upon clicking “Query”, a SQL Executor popup appears.

Step 7: You can enter the Title, Type and Query. Multiple queries can be added by clicking on the add button on the right.

Step 8: Click on Apply once the necessary inputs have been entered. (Refer to the image below).

Step 9: Click on the run button to run the SQL Executor node. Click on the Show Results button and the result is shown under the result tab. (Refer to the image below).

Note: The effect of the query executed above can be seen in the selected data source.
